The Olton Project invites you to a beneficial community session offering both practical guidance and Islamic guidanceon what to do when a loved one passes away.
Losing someone can be an overwhelming time, and knowing what to expect can make an already difficult situation a little easier to navigate. This session will take you through the practical steps that may follow a death, alongside the Islamic rulings and responsibilities surrounding ghusl and burial.
Dr Ahmed Elsheikh will cover the practical procedures, including what happens when someone passes away at home or in hospital, death certification, who to contact, and the next steps.
Dr Daniel Jackson and Shaykh Mahmoud Abdel Sattar will then cover the fiqh relating to ghusl, burial and the Islamic responsibilities involved after death.
